On My Bookshelf (7)

You know the deal by know: based on IMM, etc. This is the final part of the stack of books from Sophie - really looking forward to this lot, even if some of them look mighty scary!

And, I'm going to be honest, some of them don't look like the kind of books for me (plus I have so many other books I have to read, half of them for university), so if anyone fancies a swap, let me know! Oh, UK only. And, you know, I hold the right to turn you down if it's a book I do want to read.

Between The Lines by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer
Delilah is a bit of a loner who prefers spending her time in the school library with her head in a book—one book in particular. Between the Lines may be a fairy tale, but it feels real. Prince Oliver is brave, adventurous, and loving. He really speaks to Delilah. And then one day Oliver actually speaks to her. Turns out, Oliver is more than a one-dimensional storybook prince. He’s a restless teen who feels trapped by his literary existence and hates that his entire life is predetermined. He’s sure there’s more for him out there in the real world, and Delilah might just be his key to freedom. Delilah and Oliver work together to attempt to get Oliver out of his book, a challenging task that forces them to examine their perceptions of fate, the world, and their places in it. And as their attraction to each other grows along the way, a romance blossoms that is anything but a fairy tale.

Big Mouth and Ugly Girl by Joyce Carol Oates
Big Mouth. No I did not. I did not, I did not. I did not say those things, and I did not plan those things. Won't It anyone believe me? Ugly Girl. All right, Ugly Girl made a mistake. I'd told my mom what I'd heard in the cafeteria, and she'd told Dad. Evidently. I'd thought for sure they would want me to speak up for the truth.

Creature of the Night by Kate Thompson

Was there really a murder? And if so, was it the one he has been told about?
